Someone posted an embarrassing photo of me

A hand holds a smartphone horizontally in a warmly lit bar. The screen shows people seated at tables and the bar counter, with shelves of bottles behind them.
A night at the bar.

I’m a 22-year-old woman visiting New York, and I took some photos at a bar. The next day, I went to post them on TikTok. While tagging the bar, I clicked the location and started looking at other people’s posts.

Then I saw a photo of me. I’m sitting at a table with my butt crack exposed. It already had over 8,000 likes! IDK why. It’s not even funny, just childish. I’m honestly so embarrassed.

I reported it immediately, but TikTok said there were no violations. So I DM’d the account and asked them to delete it. I’ll admit I was a little rude in my message because I was upset. Their reply was, “you were in public, don’t have your butt crack out.”

Seriously? Being in public means I have to accept someone posting an embarrassing photo of me for thousands of people to laugh at? I never gave permission. Is this actually legal, and is there anything else I can do to get it taken down?
