Read and Listen

Hands are at the ends of our arms. We use them all day for many different things.

We use our hands to hold and carry things. We pick up cups, open doors, turn pages, carry bags, and use tools. We also use our hands to write, draw, type, cook, and eat.

Hands help us touch and feel things too. We can feel if something is hot, cold, hard, or soft.

We also use our hands with other people. We can wave hello, point to something, clap, or hold someone’s hand.

Hands are important for work, play, and everyday life. From morning to night, we use them for many different things.
